Introducing LightLink Community Airdrop Phase 2
We are thrilled to announce Phase 2 of our Community Airdrop. Get ready for new tasks, more partnerships, and the chance to explore the benefits of a gasless economy.
Over 50,000 users have completed the Proof of Humanity campaign and participated in our Community Airdrop Phase 1, with 8,110 people eligible for allocations.
Given the positive sentiment in our community around Phase 1 allocations, many still wished to participate further or receive an additional allocation. Moreover, since Phase 1, we have onboarded a handful of projects to our ecosystem that we are eager to showcase to our community.
As the community is our top priority, we are excited to announce Phase 2 of our Community Airdrop.
What Is LightLink Community Airdrop?
Earlier in 2023, we partnered with Galxe to host our very first Community Airdrop. The purpose of the program is to introduce LightLink and our ecosystem projects to crypto power users so that they can benefit from a gasless economy and become our loyal advocates. Additionally, we want to incentivise those who have been with us from day one.
We are allocating 2.5% of our total supply to three phases of the Community Airdrop, with a minimum of 0.58% of the supply allocated to Phase 1. Phases 2 and 3 will have a higher allocation of tokens as we expect more participants to join and experiment with zero gas fee transactions.
The format is simple: we will be releasing campaigns sequentially over the coming weeks, which are designed to showcase various partners we have live on LightLink.
Utilising the Galxe platform we have set out various tasks with each partner, ranging from bridging and swapping tokens to registering your very own .ll domain name. There will also be the opportunity to enter competitions which have prizes of their own!
Very soon, our Beacon, the community portal, will be update to reflect the points you have been earning in this new Phase of our Community Airdrop, and there may even be additional surprises here on offer throughout the coming weeks.
Week 1: Welcome to LightLink
This week is devoted to onboarding you to the network, and thankfully due to the integration of BNB Smart Chain to our native bridge this has become a lot less expensive than dealing with Ethereum Mainnet gas fees.
We would suggest you bridge over either BNB (or WBNB) or BUSD to LightLink as there are liquidity pools established on the AMM Elektrik for you to swap to ETH to spend on the network (ETH is the native gas token on LightLink).
Access our Bridge and select to come from BNB Smart Chain to LightLink Phoenix Mainnet. Following this head over to Elektrik and swap your tokens, thanks to Enterprise Mode you are able to do this without paying gas.
If you find you are having issues with Metamask when swapping your tokens, please take a look at this tweet as it shows how you can set your gas price to 0 to perform you token approval and swap.
At this point you should qualify to collect your first NFT reward! Return back to Galxe and verify each of the tasks you have completed to mint your NFT on the LightLink network, set your gas price to 0 when you mint and it will cost you nothing!
